ΟΕΝΓΕ προς Ιατρικό Σύλλογο Τουρκίας: “Οι λαοί μας δεν έχουν τίποτα να χωρίσουν”

Επιστολή προς τον Ιατρικό Σύλλογο Τουρκίας απέστειλε η Ομοσπονδία Ενώσεων Νοσοκομειακών Γιατρών Ελλάδας,

Η ΟΕΝΓΕ εκφράζει την υποστήριξη της για την τραγωδία που βιώνει αυτή τη στιγμή η γειτονική χώρα, και τονίζει χαρακτηριστικά πως αποδεικνύεται ότι οι τεκτονικές πλάκες δε γνωρίζουν από σύνορα και στρατιωτικούς ανταγωνισμούς.

Επιπλέον η Ομοσπονδία αναφέρει ότι απο χθες βρίσκεται σε επικοινωνία με το ελληνικό υπουργείο Υγείας για την αποστολή ανθρωπιστικής βοήθειας και ιατροτεχνολογικου εξοπλισμού.

Dear colleagues,

We express our support for the tragedy your people are currently facing after the devastating earthquake. Once again nature proves that tectonic plates do not obey to state governments and their military competitions. We all remember the catastrophic earthquakes that took place in 1999 in Turkey and Greece with few days apart.

The scientific and the humanitarian contribution of our Turkish colleagues as well as their constant efforts to protect human rights are all well known. We had protested against the imprisonment of your President Dr. Şebnem Fincancı.

Since yesterday morning, we are in communication with the Greek Ministry of Health in regards to the humanitarian aid and the medical supplies that are to be sent to Turkey and Syria. We would appreciate if you could inform us in regards to the specific aid that would be more appropriate as for Turkey (medical personnel, medical supplies, drugs etc).

Our people have nothing to separate. The medical personnel in both sides of the Aegean is fighting for peace and public health.
